A native of Trenton, Georgia, Dr. Dyer completed his undergraduate education at Samford University, achieving a B.S. in Biochemistry and graduating Magna Cum Laude, all while juggling the responsibilities of being a member of the varsity football team.
He then attended the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Following dental school, Dr. Dyer completed his specialty training at Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics, where he was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi national honor society and ranked top in his class.
Upon graduating, Dr. Dyer moved back to Birmingham, where he and his family are currently settled. He commuted to Tuscaloosa, where he practiced orthodontics for six years before ultimately deciding to start his own practice closer to home.
Dr. Dyer is committed to providing high-quality, customized care to every patient who visits his practice. He strives to be the best orthodontist he can be by keeping up with all the latest techniques and innovations in the field.
He prides himself on his ability to create a fun and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. He genuinely loves what he does and loves being able to help other people in any way that he can. He has a heart for serving and has been on multiple dental mission trips to other countries. He bases his everyday practice around the motto “Do Good,” and even created a movement that you can read more about here.
In his free time, Dr. Dyer enjoys being outside, exercising, staying active in his community, and being involved in his church. He loves watching most sports (he is a die-hard GA Bulldogs football fan, but please don’t hold that against him!) as well as binging the occasional TV series with his wife, Allie.
His favorite thing to do, however, is to spend time with his family. Dr. Dyer and his wife are blessed with two beautiful children, Olivia (3) and Stark (1), who bring constant joy into their lives. We also can’t forget to mention their golden retriever, Brady (11), who may occasionally grace the office with his presence. Dr. Dyer is a self-proclaimed sneakerhead and will likely have a different pair of unique shoes on every time you come in, so be on the lookout!
Dr. Dyer is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, and the American Dental Association.
